An image of an aspiring and enthusiastic young musician and
his victim audience.

Welcome to the updated website.

Of course, there’s also an art to not listening, one that the poor older satyr (driven beyond endurance in Franz Stuck’s painting, Dissonance) has seemingly failed to master; though, given the circumstances, I really can’t blame him.

The site has, for a while, been in need of a bit of renovation; so, at long last, this Summer I worked up enough courage to set about its redesign.

The result, as I feared, was chaos (at least initially). Nothing was where I expected it to be, and the things that I could – eventually – find, produced unexpected and frequently bizarre results.

But, after a considerable amount of trauma and the occasional(??) expletive, some sort of sense has started to emerge. And, while still definitely a beta version, I think it’s getting somewhere.

What’s new? It’s mostly visual/cosmetic stuff; but there is the new Diary page where you can – if the spirit moves you – alert people to any musical event you’re involved in (either as performer or listener). Then there’s an easier way to revisit the previous weeks’ pages, should you want to check on something).

But, mainly (you’ll be pleased to know), things are where they were – they just look slightly different.
