Responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, this site published a series of podcasts on the subject of ‘classical’ music; the podcasts were funded by Adult Learning Wales.

Currently – pending a proposed return to face-to-face teaching – it’s hoped the site will revert to original purpose i.e. a public blog which also reflects and acts as an ancillary to live teaching.

Chris Weeks doesn’t just talk about music, he writes it, too. Compositions include two string quartets, a wind quintet, three song cycles, a chamber concerto and sonatas for both clarinet and bassoon. He has recently completed a Mass and a concerto for violin and ensemble (serenade: nocturne: alba) for the violinist, Robert Atchison.

A CD on the Tŷ Cerdd [Welsh Music Information Centre] label containing his septet [What the Angel said] and Wind Quintet is to be launched on September 10th – the music will also be available for streaming.
