An introduction by me to my new work Serenade: Nocturne: Alba for violin and large chamber ensemble. It was commissioned by Crwth and the soloist, Robert Atchison; the event will finish with a performance of the work.
This combination of talk, rehearsal and performance is to be followed the next day by an opportunity to hear the work in concert (see below) in the extremely congenial company of three works – another Serenade (this time by Elgar), Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto and Schubert’s Fifth Symphony.
Tickets at the door £5: Unwaged Free
Generously supported by the Gemma & RVW Trusts and
The Friends of the Swansea Festival
Crwth would like to give very many thanks to all those who contributed to our crowdfunding scheme and helped to make this event possible.
Thanks to Margaret Lamb and the officers of St James’s Church for their help and for the use of the church and church hall.
