Quintets
There are all sorts of quintets, ranging from the Argentinian (cubist) ensemble with its wrong-way-round flautist you see above, to the great string masterpieces of Mozart and Schubert. Then there’s also the nineteenth century’s flowering of piano quintets, followed in the twentieth by works for woodwind and brass. A plethora of material!
