Falstaff has sent duplicate love letters to Alice Ford and Meg Page.

Act 1, Scene 2 moves from The Garter Inn to the garden of Ford’s house. We’ll examine this scene through the ears and eyes of several composers and librettists – Salieri, Nicolai, Balfe, and, of course, (mostly) Verdi.
